Mark (Jonathan Wolf), a hard-working young man, has hit a streak of bad luck. His car has been booted, his power turned off, and a social worker is now threatening to remove his orphaned younger sister from his care. Instead of dealing with his problems, he escapes to the neighborhood bar to unload his troubles on his bartender pal (Steve Altman). While doing so, he unwittingly encounters a feisty female pickpocket (Jessika Van) who just might change his luck...
