A successful Private Investigator, Jill Williams, leads the followup research on a domestic abuse case. Problems start to surface when the victim decides to drop the charges. Jill and her partner carry on with their routine followup appointment in hopes of convincing the victim to stick with the case. The results of the meeting are unsuccessful, and as Jill and her partner begin to leave the property, Jill discovers that the daughter of the victim has now been caught in the domestic abuse. This discovery launches Jill into some emotion trauma where it is revealed that she, too, suffered from childhood abuse and must face the pain she feels. Once Jill faces her pain, she discovers that the strength she needed to get past it was inside of her all along and all she needed to do was to tap into that strength so that she could save herself from the feeling of drowning in her own pain.
