A hapless writer (Guy Evans) struggles to find inspiration within a decaying industrial dystopia. He finds his muse after inadvertently eavesdropping on an argument between his upstairs neighbour and a secret lover. But when the arguing comes to an abrupt and suspicious end, the writer gets drawn into his own narrative, destroying the boundary between fact and fiction
