Lost Language is a short film by British born writer, director and producer Nazim Uddin. It tells the story of Sofia Adams (Katherine McDonald), a young deaf woman who has tried for many years to fit into society having lost her hearing when she was a child. One day Sofia meets David (Steve Sherman) who she falls in love with. Mean while, Sofia's mother, Mary (Cynthia Shaw) is cautious of this new man in Sofia's life and as a result of her own abusive relationship with her now deceased husband, is pessimistic about men in general. This story will take you on a mix of emotions, through the highs and lows of love and tries to convey a message: to be happy with who you are rather than changing for other people.
