Karina, a young Cuban American dancer, is trying to overcome the emotions following her older sister's death. In an attempt to keep her older sister's memory alive, Karina decides to compete for an annual dance scholarship. Forbidden by her parents to pursue dance as a profession, Karina secretly trains with a renowned ballet instructor.
