An urban legend depicting the rivalry and animosity that existed between Thomas Edison and Nikola Tesla, including the oft-repeated allegation that Edison conspired to have Tesla's laboratory burned down. The film also suggests that Edison 'stole' the ideas and inventions of young unknown scientists. The rivalry between Edison and Tesla was frequently depicted as the 'War of Currents'. Whatever: Edison died rich and famous. Tesla died virtually unknown in poverty.
