Darkwood is about a man who's out of luck. Bankrupt and alone, this unnamed man tries to find another job. A job that could help him get out of debt once and for all and support his family. So turning to illegal matters turn out to be the options he picks. However in the process he finds himself in a worst situation than he was in the first place.
