As a cross-dresser, Fie finds himself socially unaccepted and marginalized. Searching for acceptance, he auditions for a play. The director takes a keen interest in him; attention which Fie misinterprets as affection. As he moves farther down an uncertain path, Fie's unresolved relationship with his conservative mother leads him to seek comfort from those who would mislead him for their own gain.
