Glyphs from the Stall (2011) is a short ethnodocumentary that asks two scholars of ancient texts from the University of Michigan to interpret the writing and symbolism on campus bathroom walls. Through an associative monologue, each scholar explores the meaning and social origins of the 'glyphs' in relation to the construction of bathroom stalls as a quotidian collective space of individualized reflection.
