Roscoe, a self-pitying bar-fly who never leaves his stool at The Montague and blames all his woes on his crappy childhood, is knocked out of his torpor by a woman his Mother used to know, her problems and his misunderstandings finally inspiring him to get off the stool and see the father figure right in front of him.
