60 years after the Allied Forces claimed victory over Japan, marking the end of WWII, the United States completed a national memorial honoring the brave men and women who fought for that victory. The heroes who won this war and altered the course of history came home in 1945 to little fan fare, only more duty to rebuild and reshape on the home front. Honor Flight, a national program that flies veterans to see their national memorial in Washington DC is at a mission critical moment due to the age of this generation of veterans.
