Widower Connor Prouser is entrenched in his daily routines, avoiding the memories of his late wife as time passes him by. His Brooklyn stoop is the setting for the development of an unexpected friendship that lifts Connor out of his shrinking world and reconnects him to the man he used to be. Using rhythmic sound and visuals, the film draws the viewer into the monotony of Connor's routines. The contrasting stimuli of his new neighbor's housewarming party combined with an accidental flashback set Connor on the course to reclaim his life.
