Future of America is one part of a larger story about three teenagers who enroll at an alternative high school. This short film is the story of Emily, who has been kicked out of her private school for using drugs. After cleaning up at a rehab center, her choices for finishing high school are limited, so she decides to enroll at Alcott, an alternative public school. She quickly becomes close to Andrew, one of her fellow students. As she finally finds the courage to open her heart, she also finds the courage to confront her family.
