Not making the varsity team pushed him harder, but is there such a thing as pushing too hard? Jake Levy has the wrong idea about his habits. He wants to be just like the cool kid in school, who had once been good friends and now got on the varsity team. Soon enough, Jake's ambition will become an addiction; happiness will become self destruction. Jake fails to fit in with the popular group of the school; a shy, quiet Jake becomes isolated and introverted. The only people that can help him now are his mother, father, and friend from the past, the man himself, Gary Logan.
