A newlywed couple is thrown into an odd state of events when the husband purchases a used talking doll that actually tells the future. This prompts the husband to conceive a get rich quick plan, and decides to cash in all of their worldly possessions to place a bet at the racetrack on the prediction of the winner supplied by the doll. The price of the doll's fortune telling proves to be more costly then the couple could have ever imagined.
