In a far distant land, an old reclusive artist spends his time drawing, alone by a river. Until the day a young boy shows up, asking for help to get across to the other side of the river. At first annoyed by the boy's presence, the old man finally gives in to the child's demands, and embarks on a journey that will change the course of his life.
