Muted captures a moment of disconnection, between two deaf middle-aged men. They live together in a small council flat and have done for a long time. Completely socially disconnected from the town below, their lives are constructed by routine and simplicity, they communicate with no one, barely even each other. As the tension rises, Muted spells out an ex adjuration of the lack of communication in many homes.
