'Horst & Marie' is a story about loneliness and deeply seated emotional wounds. Horst is an outsider. He wrote down his most fervent wish on a piece of paper which he guards like a treasure. But when one day Mary finds the slip of paper his life seams to spin completely out of control. The film means to demonstrate that appearances may deceive. Not always are things the way they appear to be. How often is a judgment made prematurely? Which role do our experiences play when it comes to judging other people? And how well do we know ourselves?
