David is 17, posh, naive and in the middle of his Gold Duke of Edinburgh Award. For this he has extended the solo camping expedition to three weeks, to prove himself to his doubters. He traverses the rural landscape, fantasizing about his long-awaited 'big finish'. Dan and Joe are an Irish father and son, in England to claim some land they have won playing poker. Adhering to an ancient Irish superstition, they must fence the land within a week to avoid terrible bad luck. When they meet David, he may as well be a different species, and vice versa. It's a chance encounter but one that might affect all of their destinies.
