Diana, a beautiful artist, submits herself to strange role playing and descends into a noire love-hate relationship with an older man. Prey of his dark fancies, she exposes herself both mentally and physically to increasing danger. Although she uses these extreme experiences as inspiration in her artwork the border between play and reality, passion and pain, art and violence, victim and hangman gradually disappear.
