Driving to Ground Zero
A man, stuck in Los Angeles in the immediate aftermath of September 11th wants to get home to his family in Connecticut, but air-travel has been suspended. He, with two friends decide to take him on a road trip home and document their journey along southern route across America. Along the way, they witness the trauma, fear, outrage and hope of our collective population. They begin from memorials in Churches and Mosques. Then journey from Santa Monica to the Grand Canyon, Hopi Indian land and Oklahoma City firehouses; through middle America; on to the Loraine Motel in Memphis; to the Pentagon and finally, to the sight of our nation's greatest tragedy, New York City's Ground Zero.
