It is late July in Oslo and summer vacation is only a week away for Johanna, an art student in her mid-twenties. She lives with her boyfriend Haakon, who lately has been very preoccupied with finishing his long overdue Ph.D. leaving little love and attention to his girlfriend. Johanna's friend Eva has got her family's summer place all to herself, and wants Johanna to join her, thus letting Haakon finishing his work, but one day the girls sail to one of the little islands on the Oslo fjord, they accidentally witness two people swimming very happily together, making Johanna think twice about what to do for the rest of the summer.
