Alex buries all her embarrassing moments in life into a cumbersome backpack that literally weighs her down. She is always running late and can't make friends as her bulky backpack wreaks havoc wherever she does. When she ruins the synchronized swimming routine at the school carnival, she finds the popular synchro-girls living on top of her backpack, where they continue to torment her. Finally, Alex learns to use her past constructively to get the synchro-girls off her back once and for all.
