Shane

Amy Lakely is a single mother with two kids; Shane, a fifteen-year-old girl, and Riley, an eight-year-old boy. Through everyday interaction, the viewer experiences how difficult it can be to talk to parents about relationships, and/or sexual identity. The three characters work together in preparing Shane (physically and emotionally) for her first high school dance, while challenging stereotypes and playing with audience expectations.
