Speak: A Sexual Abuse Story

Jude Ivy and her two younger sisters were sexually abused by their older half-brother as children. Their cousin, Kentra Gilbert, was also sexually abused by the same perpetrator. After years of hiding it from their family, Jude and her younger sister revealed the truth about their sexual abuse. They proceeded to file charges against him and he was found guilty. In this documentary, Jude and Kentra share an account of the incidents that surrounded their sexual abuse and the aftermath of the experience. Although justice was served in the case of Jude and Kentra, statistics show that about 60% of sexual assaults are not reported to the police.
