A Tale of Outport Adventure
Produced on the eve of Newfoundland joining Canada as its tenth province; the purpose being to introduce it to the rest of Canada. The film depicts the rugged beauty of the land and the life-style, labor and island character of the people. Also explored are Newfoundland's natural resources, transportation by Eskimo sled, and primary industry: cod fishing, sealing, and whaling.
