In 'Sorensen's Whip', children try various ways to escape from the violent teacher, Mr Sorensen. In 'Scranna Nannas', a head teacher sends his dinner staff to see a psychiatrist, to prevent them asking for a pay rise, but the plan backfires. 'Liam Leonard' documents the trials and tribulations of a young poet in a sporty school. 'Case 315' is a gritty history of dissociative identity disorder in a violent offender. 'The Caretaker's Son' follows a day in the life of a group of privileged sixth form girls, as they plan the school's award ceremony. 'Primo Parmo' is a dark tale of murder and cannibalism in Middlesbrough. 'Lonely Nurse' tracks the progress of a young health visitor as she makes her rounds. 'It Is Written' is a dark tale about a writer who stops writing horror stories because he believes they will come true. 'The Helpers' is about a group of girls who promise to help each other get whatever they want.
