In the late 1980s Gabrielle, a French immigrant gave up everything so that her son could have it all in America. But some 20 years later, in what she knows to be her final hours, as her life is flashing before her eyes, it is not memories of American and all that she and her family accomplished there, it is the loving memories of her ex-husband and France that come flooding back, and she wonders.
