Following the evolution of the coca leaf from collection to consumption, Portraits relates how drug trafficking in Colombia prevents peasants from controlling their destiny. Through the point of view of the plant and a careful study of sonic details, this short film portrays the corruption of the natural order and the impact of this corruption on various individuals.
