Olivia and her fiance broke up... kinda. Turns out, they're still talking. Hearing this, her father is dead against it, but Olivia thinks he's too harsh. After all, Brendan's her best friend... Later, Olivia's heart flutters when she sees Brendan's calling. She picks up. Despite her trying to say 'No,' Brendan invites himself over. She falls into his arms, instantly comfortable. Brendan, king of manipulation, wants to spend the night and makes her feel awful for refusing. He leaves angry and she feels terrible. Maddie overheard everything and urges Olivia never speak to him again... After Maddie leaves, the phone rings. Nervous, Olivia takes Brendan's call and, in a searing moment, manages to tell Brendan it's really over. She hangs up, and feels much, stronger.
