After falling behind in rent, a young artist, Irving, and his ailing father are threatened with eviction from their small apartment. Irving must take to the streets of Los Angeles in a desperate attempt to pay the rent. As Irving tries to climb out on top, he learns along the way, that on the streets of L.A., nothing comes easy.
