Niki

Education is the key to a bright future, so to deprive a group of this right is one of the most damaging forms of discrimination that exists. We follow the story of Niki, a young Roma (gypsy) teenager who is emerging from the turmoil of Hungary's newly integrated public school system. At 16, she struggles to finish the eighth grade and overcome the obstacles left behind after 6 years of terribly sub par education, and we explore the challenges facing one of Hungary's largest, and least understood minorities.
