An exploration of Freud's structural model of the mind, id centers on clinically depressed office worker Leslie Clay as he attempts to come to terms with his existential angst. Leslie has grown detached from reality and is subject to graphic and severe hallucinations that begin to slowly consume his existence. Under the guidance of the overbearing Doctor Felner, Leslie reluctantly delves into his inner self and slowly grasps the true cause of his internal discord.
