Harry, a newspaper editor, is suddenly laid off from work. Struggling, he calls a sex line rather than a therapist as a cheaper alternative. Harry and the woman on the other end of the line, Diane, soon discover that they have a lot in common. The film examines life's challenges -- with a twist.
