The whole film is a conversation between two people : a German woman, who underwent through medical experiments for pharmaceutical companies during the World War II and an Austrian man from an old Germanic clan, who was always interested in medicine, but became a lawyer, philosopher, and an SS officer. 1946. Night. Paris. Fall. His mistress curling on his hands and a young woman, who has now been an insomniac for six years. What else is there to talk about but boredom and beauty ?
