Music in Scales

Many consider Classical Western music the highest form of art. Each year millions of students take lessons to learn an orchestral instrument or to train their voice. For many, it's just a part of their education, a way to pass time or to better understand themselves. However, for a small minority - they find a passion of a lifetime. But what does it mean to become a musician? Can that passion sustain a living? Music in Scales follows two students, Phil You, a pianist, and Elizabeth Hartley, a saxophonist, as they approach the decision on what role music will play in their future.
