The Splendid Life of Hildergard Ramsbottom
Hildergard is a 40-something, highly educated woman who gave up her dreams to be with the man she thought was the love of her life and live with him on his sheep farm in rural Cornwall. Seeing younger women fulfilling their passions and pursuing their careers pushes Hildergard further and further into madness. In her abject refusal to see her life as anything but splendid, Hildegard finds sanctuary in her increasingly large and surreal cakes.
