Smash & Grab: An Ascent of Burkett Needle
The Smash & Grab style of expedition was born out of a mixture of the intense and unreliable weather patterns of Southeast Alaska's Stikine Icecap region, and the complexities of juggling family and professional life. Supported by the Copp-Dash Inspire Award, this film tells the story of Dave Burdick, Zac West and John Frieh's use of a three day weekend to make a first ascent in a remote and seldom visited corner of Alaska.
