Jadyn is busy packing for what she believes will be a fun-filled family vacation to grandmas house. But her parents are tense. And it's more than simply last minute preparations. There's a knock on the door. It's Russell Powers and his wife. They're concerned about Jadyn. Rightly so. Dev, Jadyn's mom is flipping through old records, deciding which one is worthy of rescuing. While her husband continues to pack. The family exits their home and into the outdoors, which is filled with billowy smoke from the fast approaching wild fires.
