Mersey Townsite was used to house workers (and their families) who were employed at the dam's to operate the power development on the Mersey River, when the power dams were first built in the 1920's. Little remains of the Mersey Townsite, which stood along the Mersey River decades ago, not far from the village of Milton,Queen's County, NS.
