Ernest Opal, a man dissatisfied with everything in life but his crappy bicycle, inherits a Volkswagen Beetle from a deceased relative...and refuses to drive it. Circumstances force Ernie out of his comfort zone and onto the open road, where he discovers the simple pleasures of life.
