Devotion is an unrelenting portrait of Theo and Alice, a recently separated couple. It presents a moment in which their words fail when needed the most. Weeks after Theo was exposed to Alice's infidelity, Alice returns to his place to pick up several articles that she left behind. What ensues is bitterness, anger, spite, guilt, and love as the two try to reconcile their complicated feelings with the reality of their new lives.
