When Benjamin (Casem AbuLughod) stumbles on a path amidst the woods' darkness, a guide appears and leads him through a fable. A Walk in the Woods combines Brechtian constraints and a simple tale with an organic approach to filmmaking. The piece was filmed in a single night and uses no special effects. Artist/director Michael Eckblad makes conceptual, visual work, which is evident in this more conventionally theatrical piece.
