Myth and Magic: Lawrence in 1968-1970 - Civil Rights Black Power

The stage is set with Dr Martin Luther King's speech that all men are created equal...but without the possibility of a job, the pursuit of happiness is out of reach, and he merely exists. Location: Lawrence Kansas, often unheard story site of turmoil during the Vietnam War and civil rights movement. The quaint territorial town surrounding the University of Kansas witnessed the murder of a young man, and the civil unrest that followed during the burning of the student Union of the campus.
