Over the course of a single night, two friends search for a lost dog around the surreal landscape of a small industrial town. A loose narrative is woven through the sights and sounds of the town as the two contemplate identity, and a chance encounter with an old apartment complex upturns a strange supernatural occurrence. The title is a play on the Shohei Imamura's 1967 film about identity, A Man Vanishes.
