Esperanza Hope, wrongfully convicted of murdering her boyfriend, faces danger from prison guards and inmates daily. Detective Morales, who first arrested Esperanza, learns that her Esperanza's boyfriend has been picked up alive and well with his new lover by Customs Officials at the airport. But Esperanza has escaped leaving a trail of death behind. The race is on and Detective Morales has to get to him first.
