After a pilgrimage in the desert, Simon, a Christian ascetic, goes back up on his Pillar in order to live there in isolation and penitence. Soon enough a cinephile Devil appears, disguised as demonized female figures from film history, trying to convince him to come down and lead him into a cinematic inferno.
