Pregnant and Dying is a twelve minute film about a young woman named Elma who finds herself both pregnant and dying. She learns very quickly that her body is not her own when her family - bereft and confounded by the seemingly paradoxical circumstances - claim rights to the unborn fetus growing inside of Elma. Inspired by the work of Cindy Sherman, the film is shot primarily in the old Hollywood style of rear projection, and all but one character is played by the same actress.
