The inspirational story of Coach John East who lost a prestigious athletic director job controversially. After 14 months of unemployment, he then returned to coaching varsity football even though he hadn't coached in 20 years. He takes over a program with a strong propensity for losing, only to turn the team around and lead them to an undefeated regular season.
