A Shot at the Big Time

He was a small town rock star with a big time future, but the army smashed his guitar with a gun. Based on a true story about my brother who took his own life rather than fight an unjust war on the South African border during Apartheid. It's a short film which is made after a crowd funding campaign to bring the issue of enforced conscription for boys of 17 plus in SA to light during Apartheid. My brother died on the border when he refused to fight against people he refused to see as enemies. His death has never left me and I made this short to raise funds for the feature we hope to make soon.
